As always, if BarCuts is already running on your Mac, either wait for the automatic update to pop up on its own (which might take up to 24h), or open the app window, then select “Check for updates …” from the main menu.

New and exciting
I’ve added URI scheme support for running Shortcuts workflows. That means that each workflow gets a link now that, when clicked, will execute its workflow. That makes it possible to run workflows from other apps by just copy/paste-ing a link, and then later, clicking it. For example in your notes!
No longer broken
- I fixed some (bad) memory leaks and reduced CPU usage quite a bit. Smooth!
- The Shortcuts inspector panel is now more responsive to what’s going on in the Shortcuts editor.
Changes
The default way workflows are run has changed. Before, they ran via AppleScript; now they run via the macOS-native CLI tool. If you must switch between the two, there’s a toggle in Settings.
