Add "Insert Text at Multiple Placeholders in Note" action

I have a shortcut that collects a variety of information for my Daily Note: the day’s weather, nearby ski resort conditions, calendar events, a few tasks, etc. Currently my shortcut is set up to insert each of these replacing or before placeholder text in sequence, but that means that while the Shortcut is running it’s flipping between Shortcuts, Actions for Obsidian, and Obsidian in a dizzying display.

Could we get a Search and Replace action that takes a dictionary of placeholders and values, ideally each with a setting for replace, before, or after the placeholder? I could build up a dictionary earlier in my shortcut that could be passed into the action, which hopefully could mean only popping over to Obsidian once for all replacements at once.

Welcome to the board, @calebhearth!

That’s a really nice feature request, thank you! I put it on my list for implementation in the next version (likely).

Hey @czottmann, thanks for the welcome and kind response. Any chance you’ve had more time to think on this one?

Crap, I dropped the ball here. Apologies! I created a ticket for the request but somehow managed to not add it to the 2025.1.0 version which just came out.

This’ll definitely go into 2025.2.0.
