I failed to state this important information clearly from the start (apologies) so allow me to clarify:
BarCuts doesn’t operate “inside” Shortcuts, it’s merely looking in and reading data. That means that its Shortcuts Tagger action is unable to work with dynamic values, like results from other actions or variables, because those are generated at workflow runtime. Its parameters are read by BarCuts as-is, and parsing dynamic data isn’t possible (without replicating all of Shortcuts’ internal logic).
So, when setting one of the Tagger’s parameters to a dynamic value, BarCuts can only treat it as empty. #TheMoreYouKnow
That said, here’s what’s new!

- Settings: New toggle to hide hints.
- Adds documentation to Tagger action regarding static parameters.
Fixes
- BarCuts now correctly parses and de-duplicates workflows whose parameters were set to dynamic values (see above).
