New beta build is out, grab it from the Listening Post product page!
New & Exciting
-
Now Playing widgets — A macOS desktop widget that shows the currently playing (or most recently recognized) track with album artwork. Click the widget to open the track in your service of choice — Apple Music, Last.fm, ListenBrainz, Deezer, or a Shortcuts workflow. (Configurable in Settings → General.)
When Listening Post hasn’t heard anything in a while, the widget lets you know the data is stale. -
Shortcuts triggers for track actions — You can now configure Shortcuts workflows that fire automatically when you like, unlike, or forget a track. Set them up in the Shortcuts channel settings. Likes and unlikes have a 5-second delay so rapid toggling cancels out.
-
The right-click track menu now groups service links into submenus, keeping things tidier as more channels get added.
No Longer Broken
-
The custom LB-compatible scrobbler now properly respects the auto-scrobble toggle.
-
Re-recognized tracks that were already enriched now properly trigger notifications and widget updates.
-
Fixed a visual glitch where the track menu showed a double separator.
-
The custom LB-compatible scrobbler now shows its default name when the channel is disabled.
Looking ahead
The channel menu is getting a bit crowded! I plan on rejiggering it a bit in beta 6 or 7, once I added support for Rocksky (which can be scrobbled to already because it’s LP-compatible). So stay tuned, and if you enjoy Listening Post already, please tell your friends ![]()
