I followed the YouTube tutorial for creating a daily note, and everything went well except that when it populates my list of events, it does so without the text added. For example, instead of showing up as in the video - #Event followed by the event, it simply shows the event title.

That’s interesting, and I wouldn’t rule out that it’s a bug in Shortcuts. (It’s a fickle beast at times.) So, in this order, I’d try to …
- Quit and restart Shortcuts (yeah, really🫤)
- Add Repeat Item to the Text action again, and pick its Start Date property again.
If that doesn’t help, then you’re definitely looking at a bug in Shortcuts. Unfortunately, it still has a good number of them, and the macOS 26 update introduced several new ones (minor, mostly).
