I’ve been using a little Shortcut I created with UI Actions to interact with MailMate and help me bulk-file all the junk mail I get to my iCloud account. I’ve noticed lately that if my Mac is on for several days, after about three days or so the Shortcut stops working and I get an error that “The shortcut could not be run because an action could not be found.” When I open Shortcuts, none of the UI Actions entries are available any more. If I reboot, everything is fine. I’ve tried killing the UI Actions app and processes, and even killing the Shortcuts daemon and processes, but with no luck. It’s been quite a while since there’s been any development in this topic… is anyone out there? Will the application continue to be worked on?
Welcome to the forum, @Sevardin! Yes, I’m out here!
I do plan to continue working on it this year. That said: UI Actions has only been released as beta in the past, and if it still works for you then the beta code has a bug because it should’ve stopped working quite a while ago ![]()
I’ll have to rewrite the whole thing (not least because I’ve learned a lot since I released the beta), and if I do it’ll be an entirely new app. But I can’t (and don’t want to) give you any timeframes. I have to balance several projects, UI Actions being only one of them.
Thanks for the update! For safety’s sake, I’ll go ahead and remove UI Actions from my system altogether and wait eagerly for your new product.
