AFO iOS power user tip: Reduce Motion

You know the weird little dance between AFO and Obsidian every time a workflow is running? That’s mostly OS-level animations, and those can be reduced a lot:

Go to Settings → Accessibility → Motion → enable “Reduce Motion”

It might take a day to get used to some of the removed animations when swiping/ opening/ closing/ whatever, but it’s worth it. I have a fast super computer in my pocket, and now I can actually feel it – the iPhone feels so. much. faster!

Super helpful. For those like me who do enjoy the various motion things in the os in general but don’t want them for AFO shortcuts, you can set reduce motion as part of a shortcut.

I’ve “wrapped” my longest-running shortcut in “Set Reduce Motion Off” and “Set Reduce Motion On” and it’s much nicer.
