This is a rough outline of which features I’d like to add to LP. It is by no means complete. The roadmap, just like the app itself, is a work in progress.

I’m open to feature requests, but please create a new post for each FR so we can discuss it, don’t add them below because that tends to get unwieldy quick.

Planned

I want to add those but I can’t tell for sure if everything in this list is doable (especially when it comes to external services and their APIs).

  • Channels
    • new channel: Qobuz
    • new channel: Teal.fm
    • new channel: Libre.fm — I’ve already looked into it but the API was hella unstable
    • add playlist support to Spotify channel (“save track to playlist”)
    • add playlist support to Apple Music channel (“save track to playlist”)
  • Importing data
    • Shazam history
    • Last.fm history
  • on/off toggle via scripting
  • Track info management: Currently, you can only see the 10 most recent tracks in the menu, but a dedicated window/UI to scour your database would be cool
  • “Last Christmas” filtering

Undecided

Nice to have… I guess?

  • free choice of audio input channel (instead of just using the default input)
  • nicer socials posting with generated track images
  • a periodic “202x Wrapped”-type feature
